Our partnership with UNHCR: standing with people forced to flee
Around the world, millions of people are displaced by conflict, persecution and disaster. The scale and urgency of these crises demand coordinated, compassionate and effective action. This is why the Euroclear Foundation is proud to partner with and provide funding to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency ,a global leader in emergency response and protection of forcibly displaced and stateless people.
In 2025 alone, UNHCR responded to 24 active emergencies across the globe, delivering lifesaving assistance to millions of people forced to flee their homes. From shelter and clean water to medical care and essential relief items, their rapid deployments reach millions of people at a time when support mattered most.
Global projections indicate that the number of forcibly displaced, returnees and stateless people could reach 136.3 million by the end of 2026, the need for international solidarity has reached a critical point. Without increased, timely and above all flexible funding, UNHCR’s ability to respond rapidly at the onset of new crises and to sustain life-saving assistance for people forced to flee their homes will be severely constrained at a time when needs are escalating worldwide the Euroclear Foundation’s commitment is more than timely, it’s a necessity.
