Data protection

Data is being generated in more plentiful supply than ever before. Many factors are driving this data abundance including regulatory requirements calling for greater transparency and accountability, an increase in the number of data elements that can be captured per transaction, and unprecedented technological innovation leading to more service and process digitisation.

On 25 May 2018, the EU regulation General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect. The regulation introduces stricter rules for how companies and organisations handle personal data and increases data protection.

At Euroclear, we take the protection of your personal integrity seriously and we want you to feel comfortable with leaving your personal data with us.

We have published privacy notices for our clients, suppliers and job applicants, describing how we handle your personal data. In the privacy notice you can also learn about your rights to your data and how you can exercise your rights.
