What are my options as a young graduate at Euroclear?
There are several ways to start your career with us and gain experience in an international environment. Depending on your interests, you can choose from:
- our IT graduate programme: a structured programme combining real work with continuous learning and upskilling, available in Poland, Belgium, the UK and France.
- graduate roles in Operations and Client Services: entry-level roles where you support global financial transactions.
- internships and alternance opportunities: practical learning opportunities available in Belgium, Poland, France, the UK, the Netherlands and Asia.
What study backgrounds or fields of expertise are you looking for?
We welcome graduates from a wide range of disciplines. Many of our early‑career opportunities are IT‑focused — so backgrounds in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical fields are especially relevant. But we also recruit graduates from Finance, Economics, Business, Legal, Audit, Risk, and many other areas.
We’re especially keen to hear from people with multidisciplinary profiles, as our programmes combine technical expertise with real business exposure.
However, above all, we look for an attitude: curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to contribute to meaningful work.
What skills are you looking for in young graduates?
We look for graduates who are curious problem‑solvers with a genuine interest in financial markets and an analytical mindset. Clear communication, willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential in a company with our scale. Depending on the role, specific skills or experiences — such as familiarity with technologies like Java or cloud platforms — can be a plus.
However, just as important as skills are the values you bring. Throughout the recruitment process, we look for people who share our values: Integrity, Client Centricity, Care, Collective Ownership, Courage, and Curiosity.
What does the application and interview process look like?
You’ll typically start with an online application via Euroclear Careers. If we think there could be a match, you’ll be invited for a screening and HR interview to assess motivation and cultural fit. For some roles, this is followed by a technical or case-based interview. We complete a mandatory screening (vetting) before making our final decision. Successful candidates move on to onboarding.
Tip: show curiosity, highlight your problem-solving skills and demonstrate your willingness to learn!
Can I apply as an international student?
Absolutely. Euroclear is a global organisation with 16 offices worldwide, and English is the primary working language across our locations — so you can quickly connect, collaborate, and feel at home from day one. With colleagues representing more than 80 nationalities, diversity is one of our core strengths, and our recruitment approach is fully inclusive. For certain roles, we are also able to support work visa sponsorship.
What career paths do former graduates typically follow?
Graduates at Euroclear grow in many different directions. No matter which team you join, there are countless ways to expand your skills, explore new areas, and build a long‑term career. With our global presence and diverse expertise across the organisation, internal mobility is a natural part of how people progress — moving between teams, roles, and even offices when opportunities arise.
Overall, our early‑career programmes are designed to give you a strong foundation, plenty of room to learn, and the confidence to shape a path that evolves with your interests and ambitions.
How does the day‑to‑day at Euroclear look for a young graduate?
Each day at Euroclear is different. Our environment is dynamic, collaborative, and shaped by the flow of financial markets — which means new questions, new tasks, and new learning moments are part of everyday work.
As a young graduate, the day‑to‑day isn’t separate or scripted. Early‑career colleagues work alongside experienced teams, take part in real projects, and contribute meaningfully from the start. We’re a hands‑on organisation where ideas matter, and everyone’s voice is heard — no matter the role or experience level.
