Michal Paprocki
Chief Information Officer - Euroclear group
Michal Paprocki has been a member of the Executive Committee and Group Chief Information Officer at Euroclear since 2022. In this role, he oversees all aspects of technology, including resilience, cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
He joined Euroclear in 2019 as Chief Technology Officer, where he was responsible for IT infrastructure and digital workplace services.
Michal holds an Executive MBA from the Warsaw University of Technology, in partnership with the London School of Economics and HEC Paris, and has a background in economics.
He began his career in 2001 at a fintech company before joining ING Group, where he progressed through a number of senior technology roles. During this time, he led the group’s global technology hub, with responsibilities spanning private cloud development, the establishment of a global cybersecurity centre, and platform consolidation across multiple countries.
At Euroclear, Michal has shaped the Group’s IT strategy, enabling the adoption of public cloud, accelerating the use of artificial intelligence, and strengthening data management practices. His focus remains on ensuring production stability, robust cyber defence, and overall business resilience, helping Euroclear continuously support its clients in a secure and reliable way.
He plays a key role in positioning technology as a core enabler of Euroclear’s business strategy, driving operational excellence, productivity, and the ongoing modernisation of capabilities. His remit also includes maintaining close engagement with clients, the Board, and regulators.
