Global Head of Repo - Co-Lead of Securities Financing, HSBC

Jean-Michel is Global Head of Repo and Co-Lead of Securities Financing at HSBC. 

Securities Financing at HSBC is constructed as a standalone asset class within MSS (Markets and Securities Services) where Financing against Equities and Fixed Income assets are managed globally. He is strategically involved in all types of Financing products, Collateral Management, as well as optimisation across asset classes and balance sheets.

Prior to his current role in London, he held various positions at Credit Commercial de France in Paris leading the STIRT platform as well as running Markets Treasury locally.

He is a key stakeholder in topics ranging from Asset-Liabilities Management (ALM), Regulation, Market, Liquidity and Collateral Risk as well as related policies internally and in Market forums. Jean-Michel also served for many years on the European Repo and Collateral committee (ERCC) and other regulatory forums.

He holds a Master degree in Engineering from Groupe Ecoles Centrale and a postgraduate degree in Finance from University Paris Dauphine.
