How to become a client

Interested in becoming a Euroclear Bank client? 

We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

The admission and onboarding process is outlined below to give you a view of each step. A dedicated Relationship Manager will support you throughout, ensuring a smooth and informed experience.

Euroclear Bank serves over 1,500 clients located in more than 90 countries, including over 100 central banks and supranationals, and 90% of the world's 50 largest banks.


Eligibility

The Euroclear Bank admission criteria are transparent, objective and non-discriminatory. They are publicly disclosed in 'The Operating Procedures of the Euroclear System' which is part of the Terms and Conditions and must be read along with the Supplementary Terms and Conditions. In cases of conflict, the Terms and Conditions and/or the Supplementary Terms and Conditions will prevail. You may find the Operating Procedures of the Euroclear System under key legal documents, available on MyEuroclear.

We will carry out a series of checks across the following domains.

  • Legal

  • Credit
  • Third-party/Cyber security

These help us verify your identity, assess risk and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Acceptance

Once the required information is received, compliance with the admission criteria will be assessed and the Euroclear Bank Management Committee will decide whether to accept or refuse the application.

The applicant will be notified in writing within one month following receipt of the properly completed admission file.


Onboarding

Once admitted, we’ll guide you through account and connectivity setup. You’ll receive instructions for registering, ordering credentials and completing forms. If applicable, we’ll support testing and migration. Training sessions are offered to help your teams get started confidently.
