We maintain shareholder and waiting lists on behalf of issuers for companies that have joined the Finnish book-entry system.
Under the Finnish Companies Act, shareholder and waiting lists are public information. You can access these records at the central securities depository.
Please note:
Any direct marketing or confidentiality restrictions registered with the Population Information System or other external registers are not automatically reflected in our records. If you do not wish your information to be used for direct marketing or for opinion and market research purposes, you may notify us directly.
What does a direct marketing ban cover?
It applies to all companies within the book-entry system.
However, companies may still send shareholders materials they deem necessary, even if a ban is in place.
What is a confidentiality restriction?
If an individual has a justified reason to believe that their own or their family’s safety is at risk, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV) may, upon request, restrict the disclosure of their municipality or address details to anyone other than public authorities.
This restriction prevents the investor’s address from appearing in ownership information datasets and on the ownership enquiry terminal at our office.
How to proceed with a direct marketing or DVV-Imposed confidentiality restriction
Please send your request regarding a direct marketing ban or confidentiality restriction to us:
- By email or post
- Include your full name, date of birth, and address
For confidentiality restrictions, we always require a copy of the DVV’s official decision. An extract from the Population Information System is also acceptable, provided it includes the start and (if applicable) end date of the restriction as marked by the authority.
